ABSTRAK. Kapasitas intelegensi merupakan salah satu faktor dalam memprediksi prestasi belajar. Namun selain kapasitas intelegensi, prestasi belajar juga ditentukan oleh beberapa faktor lainnya di antaranya oleh proses belajar mengajar. Proses belajar mengajar merupakan trasnformasi pengetahuan dari guru kepada murid dalam institusi sekolah melalui kemampuan menyimak dan kemampuan membaca. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kapasitas intelegensi, kemampuan menyimak dan membaca secara bersamaan terhadap prestasi belajar. Desain penelitiannya menggunakan studi explanatory survey Teknik pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan multi-stage cluster sampling pada siswa SMAN di kota Bandung berjumlah 112 responden. Instrumen penelitian, yang digunakan berupa tes. Uji statistiknya menggunakan Path Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh tentang kapasitas intelegensi terhadap prestasi belajar, pengaruh kemampuan menyimak terhadap prestasi belajar, dan pengaruh kemampuan membaca terhadap prestasi belajar. Melihat hasil pengaruh dari ketiga faktor tersebut terhadap perstasi belajar, kemampuan membaca paling besar pengaruhnya terhadap prestasi belajar dibandingkan dengan kemampuan menyimak dan kapasitas intelegensi. Secara bersamaan, pengaruh antara kapasitas intelegensi, kemampuan menyimak dan kemampuan membaca sebagai komunikasi reseptif terhadap prestasi belajar menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan. Besar kontribusi kapasitas intelegensi, kemampuan menyimak dan membaca secara bersamaan terhadap prestasi belajar adalah 69%. Dengan demikian kontribusi kapasitas intelegensi, kemampuan menyimak dan kemampuan membaca secara berasamaan terhadap prestasi belajar adalah besar, sehingga kemampuan menyimak dan kemampuan membaca para siswa disekolah perlu mendapat perhatian yang maksimal dari berbagai pihak, baik pemerintah, sekolah, guru, maupun orang tua.

THE IMPACT OF INTELLIGENCE CAPACITY, LISTENING ABILITY AND READING ABILITY AS SIMULTANEOUS ECEPTIVE COMMUNICATION TOWARDS LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT (A Case Study in Students High in Bandung)
ABSTRACT. Intelligence capacity is one factor of predicting the academic achievement. Other than intelligence capacity, the academic achievement is also influenced by several factors such as the learning and teaching process. The learning and teaching process is a transformation of knowledge from teacher to student in the school through the abilities of listening and reading. Therefore, this study aims at identifying effect of intelligence capacity, listening ability, and reading ability altogether toward the academic achievement. The study uses explanatory survey study. The sampling method that was used is multi-stage cluster sampling for the high school students in the city of Bandung as many as 112 respondents. The study instrument that was used is test. The statistics test that was used is path analysis. The results of study show the presences of the effect of intelligence capacity toward the academic achievement, the effect of listening ability toward the academic achievement, and the effect of reading ability toward the academic achievement. Looking at the results of the three factors toward the academic achievement, reading ability has the biggest effect toward the academic achievement compared with listening ability and intelligence capacity. Altogether, the effects of intelligence capacity, listening ability and reading ability as receptive communication toward the academic achievement show significant result. The contribution of intelligence capacity, listening ability, and reading ability altogether toward the academic achievement is as much as 69%. So the contribution of intelligence capacity, listening ability, and reading ability altogether toward the academic achievement is large that the listening and reading abilities of the students in the schools need to receive maximum attention from various parties including the government, shools, teachers and parents.

Besar kontribusi kapasitas intelegensi, kemampuan menyimak dan membaca secara bersamaan terhadap prestasi belajar adalah 69%. Dengan demikian kontribusi kapasitas intelegensi, kemampuan menyimak dan kemampuan membaca secara berasamaan terhadap prestasi belajar adalah besar, sehingga kemampuan menyimak dan kemampuan membaca para siswa disekolah perlu mendapat perhatian yang maksimal dari berbagai pihak, baik pemerintah, sekolah, guru, maupun orang tua.
